Unstable Angina/Non-ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction: Updated Guidelines Available

The American College of Cardiology Foundation and the American Heart Association Task Force on Practice Guidelines have published in Circulation a "2012 ACCF/AHA Focused Update of the Guideline for the Management of Patients With Unstable Angina/Non−ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (Updating the 2007 Guideline and Replacing the 2011 Focused Update)."

Various news services reported on the availability of this update in part because it includes the antiplatelet agent ticagrelor among the options of similar agents, clopidogrel and prasugrel; but I am confident that there are other details which will be of interest to those who work in this area.
