We are embarking on an important project to build patient education for the prevention of venous thromboembolism (VTE). This project has been funded by the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), approved by the Johns Hopkins Medicine Institutional Review Board and is in collaboration with ClotCare.
The purpose of this study is to identify and prioritize topics of importance to patients and their families regarding VTE prevention that may be used to better educate hospitalized patients.
This project is comprised of a series of up to 5 Web-based surveys. In this first survey, we will ask some information about your background (Web link below). Your input in this assessment is very important, but is also completely voluntary. We estimate that each survey should take less than 10 minutes to complete.
Thank you very much for your participation and your continued support.
